Imperial European University (IEU) Paris proudly celebrated International Women’s Day, recognising the remarkable contributions of women in education, leadership, research, and society. At IEU Paris, we believe that empowering women through education, opportunity, and global collaboration is essential to building a more inclusive and sustainable future. The university continues to promote initiatives that support women in academia, innovation, and leadership while encouraging students and faculty to champion equality and progress across communities worldwide.
As part of the celebrations, IEU Paris highlighted its commitment to international collaboration and women’s leadership through a meaningful engagement led by the Vice Chancellor, Hon. Dr. Prof. Prateek Mingekar. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, he had the privilege of meeting Her Excellency Sheilabai Bappoo, the High Commissioner of Mauritius to India, at the ITC Grand Central. The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen academic and cultural connections.
During the interaction, discussions focused on expanding collaboration between IEU Paris and Mauritius in the areas of education, research, and student exchange. The Vice Chancellor also had the honour of presenting his books, AI: A Practical Guide and Less Is More. Her Excellency expressed great interest in the themes of artificial intelligence and sustainability, noting that these topics are among the most significant global conversations shaping the future of education and society.
IEU Paris is also actively exploring opportunities to strengthen academic collaboration with institutions in Mauritius under the leadership of Sheilabai Bappoo, focusing on student mobility, joint research initiatives, and cultural exchange programmes that promote global learning and shared knowledge.
